Update 21st of November 2011 – New coloring pages.

In the last couple of months I’ve made 3 new coloring pages for my online coloring games. The full coloring pages can be found in my drawings section, under coloring pages.

The first one was for the 4th of July and it’s a cute teddybear dressed up like Uncle Sam in front of the capitol building.

The second one is of a girl who is swimming in the ocean together with a beautiful Dolphin.

And last but not least, the third one was specially made for Halloween and has a scary witch in it, an evil kitty and a scary little spider! Brrr..!

If you’re interested in playing these online coloring games, please visit my website FreeKidsColorpages.com. You will be able to color these beauties, but also some other coloring pages which I have previously made!

Update 20th of November 2011 – My entry for the Teufel Concept B 20 competition.

teufel hartje

As you may or may not know, I’m a huge fan of competitions. Why? Because it’s a great excuse to get creative! (O, and because I like to win free goodies.)
So, last September when being made aware there was a competition going on at one of my favourite forums, I had to enter ofcourse.

All you had to do was color in this coloring page and you could make a chance to win a Teufel Concept B 20 PC speaker set.

Unfortunately I wasn’t amongst the winners, however I did spend a weekend creating this and I’m very proud of the outcome.

My other dragon..!

O and by the way, did I mention I also made the little dragon on the right all by myself? It was actually supposed to be a character for a game I wanted to make!
I’m still planning to use it for some other things in the future, but for now I think it looks cool along side the Teufel dragon.

It took me weeks to create my own dragon:

– First I looked at a lot of other dragons, to get inspiration.

– I also looked at reptiles, amphibians and even dinosaurs.

– I collected a lot of stock images, like fish and lizard scales.

I eventually decided that my dragon was to look somewhat like a salamander, because I love salamanders!
That’s when I made a sketch on paper of how it was supposed to look like, which I then worked out further on the computer.
I’ve used the stock images which I’ve collected as textures for the scales of my dragon, which was a lot of work as they needed to be resized and tilted, re-colored and ofcourse they needed shades!

It was a lot of work to make this dragon but it was also a lot of fun, and I’m completely in love with the end result! Now, if only I could come up with a name for the little fella..
