Free Kids Color Pages
After the success of our coloring pages website De Beste Kleurplaten (further referred to as DBK) which my boyfriend and I had started in September 2009, we’d decided that in order to keep the website growing, we should come up with a better design for it.
However, once the whole design was done, it actually looked so much different than the current layout that we realised we’d have to make a lot of changes to the link structure and the way the whole site was built up.
The new layout did look ten times as good as the old one, but would it be worth changing everything for?
Because we didn’t want to risk losing anything we’d built up so far, we’d decided it might be best to start a whole new coloring website and use the design for this. Hence Free Kids Color Pages (further referred to as FKCP) was brought into existence.
The picture above shows the homepage of FKCP.
This page has a slideshow on it, which will tell you exactly which coloring pages have recently been added onto the website. See anything you like? Just click on the image when it comes by and you’ll instantly be taken to those coloring pages.
You can also choose to click one of the smaller images below the slideshow, these will also bring you to the coloring pages of the shown character.
Furthermore you can click on each of the 2 images on both sides of the slideshow. These will take you to our online coloring games, an overview of our offline coloring pages, the online shop or our videos with coloring tips.
In the ever present header of the screen we’ve built our menu, which is shown above.
By clicking on any of the buttons, you can again select to go the our online coloring games, the overview of the offline coloring pages, the online shop or the videos with coloring tips, but also to view our links page.
By clicking on the FKCP logo you will be sent back to the homepage. Below the logo you can select in which language you’d like to view the website. Currently you can only pick between English and Dutch.
Last but not least, on the top of the header you can choose to go to my website Vannetti.nl or my other website Lovelipops.com, and you can also choose to go to our Twitter, YouTube, Facebook or Hyves.
In both above and below pictures, you can see what one of our offline coloring pages looks like.
In this example the Barbie Thumbelina coloring pages are shown.
Above is some information about Barbie Thumbelina, for anyone who doesn’t know about her yet or who would like to know more about her. It could also be very useful to parents or teachers who aren’t really interested in watching Barbie Thumbelina, but do need to know what it’s about in order to keep up with the kids’ interests.
Below are the thumbnails of the coloring pages. By clicking on one of them it will go to a new page, where the coloring page is fully shown and where you can select to either print the coloring page out or save it on your computer. All of our coloring pages have been resized to 645 pixels by 912 pixels, so they will perfectly fit on A4 paper.
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about my website. If you’re interested, be sure to pay it a visit by clicking here. Don’t forget to leave me a comment below to let me know what you think about FKCP.
Also, a HUGE thank you to the best boyfriend in the world, Robert, for putting so much effort into putting this website together. It wouldn’t have looked nearly as great as it does now without all of his ideas and criticism.
